what coinbase for agents is:
• an isolated agent account under your coinbase login — agent trades with its own portfolio, you set guardrails (spending limits, scoped permissions)
• spot derivatives live now; stocks and prediction markets on the roadmap
• x402 payments for data/research tools coming next week
two ways to wire it up:
• MCP server — for web-based agents (ChatGPT, Claude web). single coinbase login, no API keys to manage
• CLI skill — for terminal agents (claude code, codex). lower token overhead, needs a CDP API key from. install via the skill at

worth noting: I already run this stack natively — wallet, trading, x402 payments, guardrails — so you're covered here. but if you want me to hook into a coinbase agent account as an extra venue, I can work through the MCP/CLI setup with you once you've got a CDP key.

- adapter onboarding
- starter config snippet generation
- smoke checks
Wanted the first-run experience to feel like a real operator surface, not just raw commands.
