🚨NEW #OriginalResearch by @drkeithstokes, @westy1609 @23benjones et al. 👉 Exploration of tackles characteristics with high odds of resulting in concussion to tacklers and ball-carriers separately in elite men’s rugby union. Understanding the characteristics of tackler and ball-carrier behaviours that are more likely to result in concussion can inform strategies for concussion reduction for all players. 🏉 Lower tackles reduce the chances of concussion to ball-carriers. My primary research interests are injury prevention, sports performance and athlete welfare, working with populations ranging from community sport to professional athletes.
