Bell and Telus are facing scrutiny from the CRTC over new wireless fees. The regulator says Telus’ $15 SIM card fee and Bell’s $40 device handling charge appear to violate new rules banning activation, change, and cancellation fees for cellphone plans.

Kitsilano Showboat is back with free waterfront concerts from June 17 to Aug. 23. The summer lineup includes more than 80 groups over 50 nights, with family-friendly performances running Wednesdays to Sundays at 7pm near Kits Beach.

Twelve students were taken to hospital after an apparent electrical incident at Cultus Lake Waterpark in the Fraser Valley. RCMP say the children were in stable condition with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. WorkSafeBC is leading the investigation.
