Alberta is leading the way to give Albertans better access to the care they need. That’s why we’re taking action. ✅ Adding thousands of doctors and nurses, funding 50,000 more surgeries, planning new hospital towers in Edmonton, Red Deer, and Calgary, and funding the largest-ever expansion of continuing care. ✅ Introducing patient-focused funding so hospital funding follows patients and the care they receive, helping increase access to surgeries and reduce wait times for procedures. ✅ Enabling dual practice, allowing surgeons to provide both publicly insured and private services, increasing surgical capacity and helping more Albertans get treated sooner. ✅ Expanding access to preventative testing, making it easier for Albertans to identify health concerns earlier, access timely answers, and take proactive steps to manage their health.

Alberta honours its heroes. Today, I was proud to honour a great rodeo legend, family man, and community leader - Jack Daines. The Hwy 590 overpass at Innisfail is officially named the Jack Daines Memorial Overpass.

This year’s gathering of energy leaders from across the word for both the Global Energy Show and World Geothermal Conference in Calgary comes at a pivotal moment. The world is hungry for secure, reliable energy, and the geopolitical uncertainty we’re seeing only reinforces that reality. Alberta has what the world needs, and we’re creating the conditions for investment, growth, and long-term prosperity so we can deliver.

Alberta companies like Eavor @Eavor are proving that Canadian ingenuity can develop cleaner energy technologies like geothermal while creating jobs, attracting investment, and growing our economy. I saw their groundbreaking work firsthand in Germany, and I’m proud to see them recognized as @TIME’s #2 GreenTech Company in the world for 2026. Congratulations to the entire team. 👏

The federal government’s decision to extend its firearms amnesty once again is an admission that its firearm confiscation scheme is ineffective and deeply flawed. Ottawa should make the amnesty permanent and abandon its plan to confiscate legally acquired firearms from law-abiding Canadians. Gun confiscation programs will never stop gang violence, cross-border gun smuggling, and the criminal misuse of firearms. We will continue to use every lawful tool at our disposal to shield Albertans from any form of firearms confiscation. Alberta believes in a principled, evidence-based approach to firearms policy that targets violent criminals and illegal guns, not responsible firearms owners who follow the law. (And yes. That is a picture of me skeet shooting with friends.)

The Global Energy Show is one of the most important gatherings of energy leaders anywhere in the world, and it was a busy afternoon of productive discussions. I had the opportunity to meet with Musabbeh Al Kaabi, CEO of Upstream at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company @ADNOCGroup, and Jim Wright @JimWright4Texas, Chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission, to discuss energy development, investment, and the growing role Alberta can play in strengthening global energy security. Later, I was pleased to welcome guests to Alberta’s international reception, including Premier Scott Moe @PremierScottMoe and Premier R.J. Simpson @RJSimpson_NWT, where we showcased the enormous opportunities our province offers to investors, innovators, and energy partners from around the world. The world needs more Canadian energy, and Alberta is leading the way.

The world has come to Calgary this week. The Global Energy Show brings together investors, innovators, policymakers, and energy leaders from around the globe, and there is no better place to host it than Alberta. Our province is home to some of the world's largest energy reserves, the most skilled workforce in the industry, and a growing pipeline of major projects that will help meet global demand for decades to come. The world needs more Canadian energy. Alberta is ready to deliver it.

Great discussions in Calgary with leaders from Alberta’s energy and construction sectors. Thank you to Minister Brian Jean @BrianJeanAB for hosting a roundtable with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce to discuss the enormous opportunities ahead for Alberta’s energy industry, and to Minister Martin Long @MartinLongUCP for bringing together leaders from Alberta’s construction sector to talk about the skilled workforce, infrastructure, and industrial capacity needed to support our province’s growth.

In a country that has fallen into recession— Alberta has not. We are growing and thriving!

The numbers don’t lie. Alberta continues to be the economic engine of Canada, leading the country in growth, jobs, and wages. When Alberta succeeds, Canada succeeds.

This morning, Alberta welcomed delegates from around the world to the 2026 World Geothermal Congress in Calgary. It was an honour to showcase the innovation, expertise, and energy leadership that Alberta is known for. From oil and gas to geothermal, hydrogen, carbon capture, and critical minerals, Alberta continues to prove that when it comes to energy, we don’t follow trends, we help create them. The world is looking for reliable energy, investment opportunities, and proven expertise. Alberta is ready to deliver.

A perfect Alberta Saturday. Started the day at the Brooks Rodeo Parade, stopped by the County of Newell to meet with the Silver Sage Ag Society, and wrapped things up at the Brooks Farmers’ Market. Always nice to spend some time around my home constituency and catch up with folks from the community.

ICYMI: For too long, Alberta and Quebec have been portrayed as adversaries. The reality is that strong provinces make for a stronger Canada. By working together, defending our constitutional jurisdiction, and advancing our shared economic interests, we can achieve far more than either province can alone. Let’s get to work.

The night kicked off with the legendary Paul Brandt @paulbrandt singing Alberta Bound 🎶 along with more than 2,000 fired up conservatives ready to keep Alberta strong and free. The momentum is real. Alberta is booming. Pipelines are moving forward. Investment is pouring in. And after years of fighting back against Ottawa’s anti-Alberta agenda, we’re finally winning.
