On 9 May 2026 in Douala, the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences hosted its annual Alumni Meetup and officially launched the Cameroon Alumni Chapter, bringing together Cameroonian alumni from across the AIMS network.
The event marked a major step toward strengthening collaboration, leadership, and alumni engagement across Africa. A key highlight was the election of the first executive bureau that will lead the chapter for the next two years.
