Here's something worth thinking about.
We've spent years making AI smarter, faster, and more capable. We gave it access to data, tools, APIs, and now, money.
But we never really built the accountability layer.
When an AI Agent executes a trade and it goes wrong, there's no clear system that tells you who authorized it, whether it stayed within its limits, whether the merchant was legitimate, or who compensates the loss.
That's not an AI problem. That's an infrastructure problem.
The same way the internet needed security layers before people trusted it with their bank details, AI needs accountability layers before people trust it with their financial decisions.
That means:
— Every AI action needs to be authorized before it happens
— Every transaction needs to be auditable after it happens
— Every loss needs a clear path to compensation
We're not there yet. But this is the gap that needs to be filled.
