This morning in Lomé, the African Air Transport Convention & Expo 2026 opened under the patronage of

@PaulKagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda as Special Guest of Honour, and H.E. Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of Nigeria, among the distinguished guests.
A clear message emerged from the opening ceremony and high-level discussions: Africa’s economic integration requires greater connectivity, mobility and the removal of barriers that continue to fragment the continent.

“We are not talking about permanent residence. We are talking about letting an African entrepreneur travel to another country, do business, and return home — without queuing for a visa.”
