This is frustrating. Even in a Middle Income country, many potential employers consider you as overqualified. Can’t he start something on his own or with friends? Such as an NGO/civil society, company, research and training center, advisory services, etc?

Eric Mwitiri holds two PhDs, two master’s degrees, and two undergraduate qualifications. He has spent more than 18 years in school pursuing education. Despite his dedication and hard work, he remains unemployed.
Eric has submitted applications widely and even tried to secure a lecturing position, but nothing has worked out. The PhD holder is now at home, waiting for any opportunity that might come up.
He says that even getting a university teaching job requires connections, which he does not have. He also questions why more Kenyans do not take the initiative to start companies that could employ graduates like him.

Afande the current situation in your country is like cancer. It doesnt start over night but it has been brewing slowly and now its at stage 4 where even radiation therapy might now heal it. One of the biggest reasons for all the lawlessness was because of the lawlessness that was sanctioned by the state. Soon you are going to start witnessing people being ki4napp3d in broad day light but because people have normalised seeing it done by law officers will think its govt work.
