🚀 Big news out of Missouri today. Thanks to the leadership of @GovMikeKehoe and state and local partners, we're investing billions to build a new data center campus in Montgomery County, creating 400 jobs and generating hundreds of millions in new tax revenue for local schools and services. The campus will include over $7 million in community contributions from @Amazon, including $3M for emergency dispatch services and $1M for a new gathering space at the county fairgrounds.

🏗️ We've been in Missouri since 2017 and employ over 10,000 people across the state. This new campus means 400 high-paying jobs, hundreds of millions in tax revenue for local schools, and long-term infrastructure investment in a community that's ready to grow.

We just announced a multibillion-dollar agreement with @CorningOpComm to expand U.S. fiber optics manufacturing, creating 1,000 advanced manufacturing jobs in North Carolina. These are the kinds of long-term investments that strengthen domestic supply chains, grow the workforce, and power the infrastructure behind AI and cloud services.

The deal includes a workforce training partnership with @CatawbaValleyCC to prepare students for careers in fiber optics. This builds on the more than $20B @Amazon invested in North Carolina since 2010, creating 26,000 jobs across the state. As @SenTedBuddNC put it, "This multibillion-dollar agreement…will create 1,000 family-sustaining jobs for hardworking North Carolinians while also strengthening the critical infrastructure of the U.S. supply chain." 58 people in New Carlisle, Indiana just graduated from @Amazon's Work Based Learning Program. None of them had a tech background before this. They trained in machine learning and data center operations, got promoted into advanced technical roles, and are now building careers that didn't exist for them a year ago. This is what it looks like when infrastructure investment turns into real careers for real people.

We love to see it! From LEED Platinum-certified buildings at HQ2 across the river to testing e-cargo bikes on D.C. streets, @Amazon is investing in more sustainable solutions in the region. We're proud to be part of this community.

Meet Amazon's e-cargo bike in D.C.: a four-wheeled, battery-powered delivery solution complete with rear cameras, regenerative braking, and automatic parking brakes. 🚲⚡ The e-cargo bikes can fit in bike lanes and carry a secure rear cargo hold full of packages. They also have covered seating and windshield wipers for the delivery associates riding them. You may have already seen our e-cargo bikes in New York City. They can navigate streets and make stops where full-size vans aren't always practical thanks to tight streets, heavy traffic, and limited parking. Washington, D.C. is now the latest U.S. city to put them to the test.

NEW: @OxfordEconomics research finds expanded low Earth orbit satellite broadband, including @Amazonleo and other providers, could unlock up to $863 billion in global economic value and support 21 million jobs by 2035. With 2.6 billion people still offline, the connectivity gap is an economic gap. 🧵

Satellite broadband providers like @Amazonleo can reach the unreachable. Think rural areas, island nations, and regions where infrastructure costs are too high. Read more on what this means for the global economy: press.aboutamazon.com/amazon…
