Call it small, medium, large or grande, or whatever. We Pakistanis worked together to make peaceful solution in Iran-US conflict, a resounding success.
Our military led by FM Syed Asim Munir, our foreign office led by Ishaq Dar, our government led by PM Shehbaz Sharif and our state led by President Asif Zardari, all went beyond the call of duty with humility, courage, determination and perseverance, every day and night during these 100 plus days.
Our journalists, academics, diplomats burnt their midnight oil to make it work despite the hiccups and intrigues by the spoilers who need no introduction.
Our people, specially the people of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi suffered long hours of traffic blockade and closure of shops during Islamabad talks but didn’t protest as they considered it as their modest contribution to peace.
We worked as a well oiled machine during this crisis.
It looked more like a grand symphony orchestra with dozens of instruments, all playing at their requisite time, tone, frequency and duration.
We all made it work. Now pat your shoulders! You all deserve it.
Thank you Pakistan.
