Inviting Taliban officials to Brussels to discuss a migration deal sends a dangerous message that a regime can systematically oppress Afghan women and girls and still be welcomed as a diplomatic partner. This is the same regime that, last week, detained at least thirty women and girls in Herat for how they were dressed, opened fire on the people who protested their arrest, killed a child and injured others.  The Taliban’s system of gender apartheid has erased women’s and girls from public life — banning them from schools and work, severely restricting their freedom of movement and forcing them into marriage. Europe should not be considering deals with a regime responsible for one of the worst human rights crises in the world. rferl.org/a/eu-taliban-meeti…

While the entire world is crediting Pakistan for the US - Iran agreement, there is one country in the region which has small men governing its big offices which continues to shy away and giving Pakistan the credit where its due — Not that Pak needs any validation but it shows the other sides grace, if they have any.

Call it small, medium, large or grande, or whatever. We Pakistanis worked together to make peaceful solution in Iran-US conflict, a resounding success. Our military led by FM Syed Asim Munir, our foreign office led by Ishaq Dar, our government led by PM Shehbaz Sharif and our state led by President Asif Zardari, all went beyond the call of duty with humility, courage, determination and perseverance, every day and night during these 100 plus days. Our journalists, academics, diplomats burnt their midnight oil to make it work despite the hiccups and intrigues by the spoilers who need no introduction. Our people, specially the people of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi suffered long hours of traffic blockade and closure of shops during Islamabad talks but didn’t protest as they considered it as their modest contribution to peace. We worked as a well oiled machine during this crisis. It looked more like a grand symphony orchestra with dozens of instruments, all playing at their requisite time, tone, frequency and duration. We all made it work. Now pat your shoulders! You all deserve it. Thank you Pakistan.

I warmly welcome the Peace Deal between the United States and Iran. This breakthrough shows that diplomacy can succeed where confrontation cannot. I commend President @AAliZardari, PM Shehbaz Sharif @CMShehbaz and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir @ISPR_Official for their leadership, and acknowledge DPM/FM Senator Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi @MohsinnaqviC42, MoFA, and diplomatic teams from all sides whose dedicated efforts helped make this possible. This is an important first step toward lasting peace. Pakistan remains ready to support the next phase of dialogue and negotiations.

You forgot to mention the word Pakistan and write thank you with it -- Never ever, we have seen such an ungrateful neighbour but what to expect from those who believe that even after losing 7 jets, they somehow "won" from the humiliation at the hands of Pakistan from May 2025.
I welcome the understanding reached between the United States and Iran on ending the conflict in West Asia, which has caused serious economic disruption across the world and led to loss of life in many countries. India hopes that the implementation of this understanding will help restore peace and stability in the region and ensure the freedom of navigation and commerce. We look forward to deliberations on the remaining issues reaching a sustainable final agreement.

Propagandists masquerading as journalists from across the border are having a hard time mentioning that it was Pakistan that mediated the agreement between US and Iran — Same propagandists just days ago at the behest of South Block were trying to portray Pakistan’s role to their masters words, which was delinked from the ground reality.
