My experience at @medanta Medanta Medicity, Gurugram, was excellent. The doctors, nursing staff, dietetics department and support staff were highly professional and caring. The second challenge, however, came from the insurance process. Despite complete documentation, repeated queries and demands for additional papers delayed approval. My brother Abhinav, daughter Aishwarya, nephew Abhisht, insurance agents and Medanta officials all worked tirelessly to resolve the matter. Fortunately, approval came within about 24 hours. My takeaway is simple: health insurance is essential, but patients must also remain vigilant regarding documentation and claim procedures. I do not wish to criticize any hospital or institution. The purpose of sharing these experiences is only to help patients and their families. My heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Shubham Singhal, Dr. @_PraveenChandra , Dr. Rajat Pachauri and the entire medical team involved in my treatment. A special word of thanks to my brother-in-law, Dr. Apurva Chaturvedi, for his guidance and support at every stage. During this medical journey I learnt that good doctors are essential, but good systems and management are equally important. While undergoing a Thallium Stress Test at a reputed Delhi-NCR hospital (not Medanta), I noticed confusion among staff regarding the dosage of a stress-inducing drug. Fortunately, the supervising doctor intervened and ensured the correct protocol was followed. Later, during the test process, I was resting in a hall when I developed severe shivering and felt extremely unwell. A fellow patient's attendant from Kashmir noticed my condition and alerted the doctors. I overheard a doctor instructing the staff that facilities to deal with a possible drug reaction or emergency were not available there and that I should immediately be shifted to Emergency. What followed was almost like a movie scene—staff rushing my stretcher through corridors while my sister, brother, wife and other family members ran behind in panic. Even in Emergency, there was initial confusion regarding which department I belonged to. It reminded me of situations one sometimes hears about where different police stations debate jurisdiction after an accident. Thankfully, treatment was provided promptly, I recovered, completed all investigations and returned home safely. (2/3) 🙏

The night of 19 December 2025 is something I will probably never forget. I have written earlier about my heart attack and treatment. This post is about some experiences from that medical journey that may be useful to heart patients and their families. What I initially thought was a routine health problem turned out to be a heart attack. On the same day, Dr. Shubham Singhal performed an angioplasty in Agra and, without exaggeration, saved my life. During that procedure it was discovered that there were serious blockages in other coronary arteries as well. Since treating all of them at the same time could have involved additional risk, the remaining treatment was deferred. Several investigations followed, including a Thallium Stress Test. Based on these tests, it appeared that although there were blockages in three arteries (Three Vessel Disease), treatment through angioplasty might still be possible instead of open-heart surgery. I eventually consulted @_PraveenChandra at Medanta Medicity @medanta Gurugram. On 1 June 2026, he admitted me and performed the required angioplasty the same day. On 4 June, I returned home to Firozabad and am now recovering well. (1/3) 🙏

जो शहीद हुए हैं उनकी ज़रा याद करो कुर्बानी। “शहीदों की चिंताओं पर लगेंगे हर बरस मेले,
वतन पर मरने वालों का बाकी यही निशाँ होगा।” 21वीं सदी के विकसित भारत का सपना देखने वाले तथा सूचना एवं संचार क्रांति के जनक, भारत के भूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री स्व० श्री राजीव गांधी जी की पुण्यतिथि पर विनम्र श्रद्धांजलि। 22 मई 1991 की अल सुबह की बात है। मैं इटावा में अपनी ननसार में था। उससे एक दिन पहले ही इलाहाबाद से लौटा था। मेरे घनिष्ठ मित्र धीरेंद्र पांडे जी ज्ञानपुर-गोपीगंज/भदोही से विधानसभा चुनाव लड़ रहे थे। वहाँ कुछ दिन रहने के बाद हम लोग कन्नौज से होते हुए इटावा पहुँचे थे, जहाँ स्व० टी०एन० चतुर्वेदी जी चुनाव लड़ रहे थे। उसी शाम इटावा पहुँचने पर भयंकर आंधी और तूफान आया था। अगली सुबह हमारे नाना जी के घर के पास रहने वाले हिंदी के विद्वान और राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार प्राप्त स्व० शिव दत्त चतुर्वेदी जी के बड़े पुत्र स्व० अशोक नारायण चतुर्वेदी जी ने सड़क से जोर से आवाज लगाकर बताया कि राजीव गांधी जी की हत्या हो गई है। यह समाचार सुनते ही जैसे सब स्तब्ध रह गए। कुछ क्षण तक किसी के मुँह से शब्द नहीं निकले। समझ ही नहीं आ रहा था कि यह क्या हो गया। उसके बाद स्मृतियों का सिलसिला मन में उमड़ने लगा। मुझे दिल्ली की तत्कालीन औरंगज़ेब रोड स्थित कोठी नम्बर 36 याद आई, जहाँ उस समय के ऊर्जा मंत्री स्व० कल्पनाथ राय जी निवास करते थे। अवसर था उनकी पुत्री के विवाह का। वहाँ देश के अनेक प्रमुख नेता, अधिकारी और गणमान्य लोग उपस्थित थे। हम लोग भी आमंत्रित थे। उसी दौरान राष्ट्रपति ज्ञानी ज़ैल सिंह जी से मिलने का अवसर मिला। कुछ देर बाद वातावरण में हलचल हुई और सुरक्षा कर्मियों के बीच मंच की ओर आते दिखे भारत के तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री श्री राजीव गांधी जी। बादामी रंग का बंदगले का सूट, चेहरे पर मंद मुस्कान और अत्यंत शालीन तेज से युक्त व्यक्तित्व—ऐसा व्यक्तित्व जिसे देखकर कुछ पल के लिए व्यक्ति बस देखता ही रह जाए। राजीव जी मंच पर पहुँच चुके थे। तभी कल्पनाथ राय जी ने मुझे इशारे से मंच पर बुलाया और मेरा परिचय कराते हुए कहा—“ये फिरोजाबाद के चेयरमैन श्री अशोक चतुर्वेदी जी के बड़े पुत्र हैं।” पिताजी से राजीव जी पूर्व परिचित थे। उन्होंने मुझसे हाथ मिलाया और हाथ पकड़े-पकड़े ही पूछा—“चेयरमैन साहब के क्या हाल हैं?” मेरे लिए वह अविस्मरणीय क्षण था। भारत का वह प्रधानमंत्री जिसने 414 लोकसभा सीटों का ऐतिहासिक बहुमत प्राप्त किया था, लेकिन जिसके व्यक्तित्व को सत्ता का अहंकार छू भी नहीं पाया था; वह प्रधानमंत्री जिसने भारत को 21वीं सदी का आधुनिक और शक्तिशाली राष्ट्र बनाने का सपना देखा; जिसने सूचना, संचार और कंप्यूटर क्रांति की नींव रखी; पंचायती राज को नई दिशा दी—वही प्रधानमंत्री मुझ जैसे साधारण युवा से अत्यंत आत्मीयता और सहजता से बात कर रहे थे। आज भी उनका वह वात्सल्यपूर्ण व्यवहार, हाथ मिलाकर हाथ पकड़े रहना, मुस्कुराता चेहरा और गरिमामय शालीन व्यक्तित्व मेरी स्मृतियों में जीवित है। भोजन स्थल पर भी उन्होंने मुस्कुराकर पहले मुझे प्लेट उठाने का संकेत किया था। उनकी वह सहज मुस्कान आज भी स्मृति में ताजा है। इसके बाद एक बार फिर उनसे मिलने का अवसर तब मिला जब वे नेता प्रतिपक्ष थे और 10 जनपथ में रहते थे। उनके जन्मदिन के अवसर पर मैं स्व० कल्पनाथ राय जी और स्व० गुंडूराव जी के साथ उनसे मिलने गया था। उस समय कल्पनाथ राय जी बीमारी से उठे थे। राजीव जी ने उन्हें देखते ही उनकी तबियत पूछी और कहा—“अब अपनी सेहत ठीक रखिए, फील्ड में आपकी ज़रूरत है।” मुझसे भी उन्होंने उसी आत्मीय मुस्कान के साथ फिरोजाबाद और पिताजी का हालचाल पूछा। राजीव गांधी जी के व्यक्तित्व और कृतित्व से जुड़ी अनगिनत बातें हैं, जिन्हें लिखा जाए तो कई ग्रंथ बन जाएँ। किंतु संक्षेप में इतना अवश्य कहा जा सकता है कि वे अत्यंत शालीन, संवेदनशील, आधुनिक सोच वाले और सहज व्यक्तित्व के धनी थे। आज उनकी पुण्यतिथि पर उस अद्भुत व्यक्तित्व को विनम्र श्रद्धांजलि। 🙏🙏

The trading portal suffers from repeated glitches, operational instability and poor responsiveness at critical moments. What is even more alarming is the near absence of accountable customer support. Instead of timely human intervention, customers are forced to deal with ineffective automated responses while serious issues remain unresolved. A brokerage platform handles people’s hard-earned money. Casual behaviour, delayed responses and technical negligence in such a sector are unacceptable. Retail investors can suffer substantial financial losses because of these lapses. I sincerely believe @SEBI_India should closely examine such recurring issues so that ordinary investors are protected from avoidable risks and operational failures. This is not a casual complaint or social media outrage. It is a serious warning based on personal experience.

संगीत के बगीचे का एक बहुत बड़ा दरख़्त आज ढह गया… आशा भोंसले जी अब हमारे बीच भौतिक रूप में नहीं रहीं, लेकिन उनकी आवाज़ की अमर गूंज हर भारतीय के दिल में सदैव जीवित रहेगी। वो केवल एक गायिका नहीं थीं, बल्कि हर उम्र के लोगों की भावनाओं का सजीव उद्गार थीं। अद्भुत गायन, ऐसी खनक कि उम्र भी जिसके आगे झुक गई। शरीर भले 92 वर्ष का हो गया था, लेकिन उनकी आवाज़ में वही जवानी, वही जादू, वही आत्मा हमेशा बनी रही। जब-जब आशा जी के गीत याद आते हैं, स्वर लहरियाँ मानो कानों में गूंज उठती हैं— “दम मारो दम” की बेपरवाह मस्ती, “चुरा लिया है तुमने जो दिल को” की मधुर मोहब्बत, “पिया तू अब तो आजा” की तड़प, “इन आँखों की मस्ती के” की गहराई, “दिल चीज़ क्या है” की नज़ाकत… और उनके अपने प्रिय गीत— “ये क्या जगह है दोस्तों”, “इन आँखों की मस्ती के”, “झूठे नैना बोले साची बतियां”, “आइए मेहरबान”, “कतरा कतरा”, “छोटी सी कहानी से”, “मेरा कुछ सामान” — हर गीत जैसे उनकी आवाज़ में आमजन की आत्मा का एक अंश बनकर बस गया। उन्होंने 12,000 से अधिक गीतों के माध्यम से न जाने कितनी पीढ़ियों के जीवन को छुआ… हर भाषा, हर शैली, हर भाव—उनकी आवाज़ में एक पूरी दुनिया बसती थी। आज उनके जाने की ख़बर से दिल बेहद भारी है… ऐसा लगता है जैसे संगीत का एक पूरा युग समाप्त हो गया। लेकिन सच तो यह है कि ऐसे लोग कभी जाते नहीं… वो अपनी कला में, अपनी आवाज़ में, अपनी यादों में सदा जीवित रहते हैं। आशा जी, आपकी आवाज़ हमारे हर सुख-दुख की साथी रहेगी… आप हमेशा हमारे बीच रहेंगी। भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि 🙏

Whenever the name of Bhagwan Ramchandra Ji comes to mind, a picture naturally forms within us—of a personality where every role becomes an ideal in itself. A life where there is depth in wisdom, valor in battle, sacrifice as a son, unwavering commitment to one’s word, deep love as a husband, justice in governance, and balance in family life. If such a complete and harmonious personality is seen anywhere, it is in the life of Bhagwan Ramchandra Ji. That is why He is not merely a part of history or a story, but a living inspiration for every age. Bhagwan Ramchandra Ji showed that true strength does not come from the sword, but from character. His friendship with Sugriva was not just an alliance—it was built on trust and mutual faith, turning the impossible into possible. Whether it was organizing the Vanar Sena or the mission to find Mata Sita, his patience, wisdom, and foresight were evident at every step. And when Vibhishan sought refuge, Bhagwan Ramchandra Ji rose above circumstances and stood firmly with dharma—offering him respect and securing his future. On the battlefield too, his presence was equally powerful. From the slaying of Tadaka to the defeat of Maricha and Subahu, and ultimately the decisive war in Lanka against Ravana—every victory was not just about strength, but about upholding righteousness. His valor was always guided by dharma, which sets him apart from ordinary warriors. But perhaps his greatest strength is reflected in his relationships. As a son, his sacrifice and obedience are unparalleled. He gave up his throne, his comforts, and his rightful kingdom, simply to honor his father’s word. This was not just duty—it was truth lived with conviction. As a husband, his love was not expressed in words, but in his actions. In his quest to find Mata Sita, he crossed forests, mountains, and even the ocean. This was not just love—it was devotion, filled with courage and deep sensitivity. As a king, “Ram Rajya” continues to be seen as the highest ideal of governance—even today. A state where justice is not only delivered but felt, and where people are not merely ruled, but respected. And when it comes to family life, his balance and foresight stand out once again. By fairly distributing kingdoms among his own and his brothers’ children, he demonstrated how important justice and harmony are within a family. The most remarkable thing about Bhagwan Ramchandra Ji is that his life does not feel like a distant or unreachable ideal. In every relationship, in every responsibility, he showed that doing what is right is always possible. Perhaps that is why, even today, his very name fills the heart with a sense of reverence. If we can imbibe even a small part of his qualities in our lives, life itself becomes far more meaningful. On this auspicious occasion, once again, heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all of you.

आज राम नवमी अर्थात् भगवान रामचन्द्र जी का जन्मदिन है और इस पावन अवसर पर आप सबको बधाई और शुभकामनाएं! जैसे ही भगवान रामचंद्र जी का नाम आता है हमारे मन में जो तसवीर उकर जाती है वह है एक ऐसा व्यक्तित्व जिसकी हर भूमिका अपने आप में एक आदर्श बन जाए—जहाँ नीति में गहराई हो, युद्ध में पराक्रम हो, पुत्र में त्याग हो, वचन में अडिगता हो, पति में प्रेम हो, शासन में न्याय हो और गृहस्थ जीवन में संतुलन हो—ऐसा समग्र और पूर्ण जीवन यदि कहीं दिखाई देता है, तो वह भगवान रामचन्द्र जी के जीवन में ही मिलता है। शायद इसी लिए वे केवल इतिहास या कथा का हिस्सा नहीं, बल्कि हर युग के लिए एक जीवंत प्रेरणा हैं। भगवान रामचन्द्र जी ने यह दिखाया कि सच्ची शक्ति तलवार से नहीं, चरित्र से आती है। सुग्रीव से उनकी मित्रता केवल एक गठबंधन नहीं थी, वह विश्वास की नींव पर खड़ा संबंध था, जिसने असंभव को संभव बना दिया। वानर सेना का संगठन हो या माता सीता की खोज, हर कदम पर उनका धैर्य, समझ और दूरदृष्टि दिखाई देती है। और जब विभीषण ने शरण मांगी, तो उन्होंने परिस्थितियों से ऊपर उठकर धर्म का साथ दिया—उसे सम्मान दिया, उसका भविष्य सुरक्षित किया। युद्धभूमि में उनका रूप उतना ही प्रभावशाली था। ताड़का, मारीच और सुबाहु का अंत हो या लंका में रावण के विरुद्ध निर्णायक युद्ध—हर जगह उन्होंने केवल विजय नहीं पाई, बल्कि यह भी साबित किया कि धर्म के लिए लड़ी गई लड़ाई ही सच्ची विजय होती है। लेकिन उनकी सबसे बड़ी शक्ति उनके संबंधों में झलकती है। एक पुत्र के रूप में उन्होंने अपने सुख, अपने अधिकार, यहाँ तक कि राजसिंहासन तक का त्याग कर दिया, सिर्फ इसलिए क्योंकि पिता का वचन सर्वोपरि था। यह त्याग केवल कर्तव्य नहीं, बल्कि आत्मा की सच्चाई थी। एक पति के रूप में उनका प्रेम शब्दों में नहीं, उनके संघर्ष में दिखाई देता है। माता सीता की खोज में उन्होंने कोई सीमा नहीं देखी—जंगल, पर्वत, समुद्र—सब पार कर गए। यह केवल प्रेम नहीं, समर्पण था, जिसमें साहस भी था और संवेदना भी। एक राजा के रूप में उनका ‘राम राज्य’ आज भी एक स्वप्न नहीं, बल्कि एक आदर्श माना जाता है—जहाँ न्याय केवल दिया नहीं जाता, महसूस भी होता है; जहाँ प्रजा केवल शासित नहीं होती, बल्कि सम्मानित होती है। और जब बात गृहस्थ जीवन की आती है, तो वहाँ भी उनका संतुलन और दूरदर्शिता दिखाई देती है। अपने और अपने भाइयों की संतानों के बीच राज्य का विभाजन कर उन्होंने यह सिखाया कि अधिकार के साथ न्याय और संतुलन कितना आवश्यक है। भगवान रामचन्द्र जी की खास बात यही है कि उनका जीवन हमें कहीं दूर का आदर्श नहीं लगता। हर रिश्ते में, हर जिम्मेदारी में, जो सही हो—वही करना उन्होंने जीकर दिखाया। शायद इसी वजह से आज भी उनका नाम लेते ही मन अपने आप श्रद्धा से भर जाता है।यदि हम उनके व्यक्तित्व के थोड़े से भी गुणों का  अंश रूप में भी अपने अंदर समावेश कर सकें तो जीवन कई गुना बेहतर हो जाएगा। इस पुनीत अवसर पर आप सबको एक बार पुन: बधाई और शुभकामनाएं!

On Shahid Diwas, vinamra shraddhanjali to the immortal martyrs Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. On the sacred occasion of Shaheed Diwas, humble tributes to all immortal martyrs. Recently, I read “Yash Ki Dharohar” edited by Padma Bhushan Dadaji Banarsidas Chaturvedi. In it, Bhagwan Das Mahaur, Sadashivrao Malkapurkar and Shiv Verma vividly recall the lives of Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Rajguru, Sukhdev and others—youth who lived only for the nation and embraced sacrifice with courage and joy. The authors remind us—“Dukham Nyasasya Rakshanam”—protecting a legacy is difficult, and even more so when it is a legacy of glory. These memoirs return that legacy to all of us. In times of selfishness and division, remembering their spirit of sacrifice can cleanse and awaken society. Rajguru’s personality stands out—eager for martyrdom, even seeing Bhagat Singh as a rival, yet simple and full of life. His famous habit of falling asleep anywhere is recalled in an incident where, entrusted to stay awake at a railway station, he himself slept, while Bhagat Singh woke up to find it was already 4 AM! अमर शहीद भगत सिंह, सुखदेव और राजगुरु के शहादत दिवस पर उनको सादर नमन। आज शहीद दिवस के पावन अवसर पर अमर शहीदों को विनम्र श्रद्धांजलि। हाल ही में पद्मभूषण दादाजी बनारसीदास चतुर्वेदी द्वारा संपादित पुस्तक “यश की धरोहर” पढ़ने का अवसर मिला। इस पुस्तक में भगवान दास माहौर, सदाशिवराव मलकापुरकर और शिव वर्मा जैसे क्रांतिकारियों ने अपने संस्मरणों में भगत सिंह, चंद्रशेखर आज़ाद, राजगुरु, सुखदेव और अन्य अमर शहीदों के जीवन को अत्यंत जीवंत रूप में प्रस्तुत किया है। इन संस्मरणों को पढ़ना किसी गीता या रामायण के पाठ से कम नहीं लगता। ऐसा प्रतीत होता है मानो हम उन दिनों में पहुँच जाते हैं, जहाँ हर साँस में देशभक्ति थी, हर क्षण बलिदान के लिए तत्परता थी, और मृत्यु भी एक उत्सव के समान स्वीकार थी। पुस्तक के प्रारंभ में लेखकों ने लिखा है—“दुःखम् न्यासस्य रक्षणम्” अर्थात किसी की धरोहर की रक्षा करना अत्यंत कठिन है, और यदि वह धरोहर किसी के यश की हो तो यह कार्य और भी दुष्कर हो जाता है। ये संस्मरण उसी यश की धरोहर को उसके वास्तविक अधिकारियों—हम सब—तक पहुँचाने का प्रयास हैं। आज जब चारों ओर स्वार्थ, भ्रष्टाचार, लाभ की छीना-झपटी, धर्म और जाति के नाम पर वैमनस्य दिखाई देता है, तब इन शहीदों के “शौक-ए-शहादत” की याद से एक चुल्लू भर जल लेकर इस कलुष को धोने का प्रयास करना व्यर्थ नहीं होगा। स्वार्थ की विषैली वायु से मूर्छित समाज को इन पावन बलिदानों के छींटे कुछ न कुछ चेतना अवश्य देंगे। इन्हीं संस्मरणों में वर्णित राजगुरु का स्वभाव अत्यंत रोचक और प्रेरणादायक है। शहादत के प्रति उनकी बेताबी इतनी थी कि वे स्वयं को भगत सिंह का प्रतिद्वंद्वी मानते थे और चाहते थे कि उनसे पहले देश के लिए प्राण न्यौछावर करें। यह उतावलापन उनके साथियों के लिए कई बार हँसी-मजाक का विषय भी बन जाता था। राजगुरु की एक और विशेषता थी—वे कहीं भी, कभी भी सो जाते थे, यहाँ तक कि खड़े-खड़े भी। एक बार वे और भगत सिंह रेलवे स्टेशन पर थे। गाड़ी रात लगभग दो बजे आने वाली थी। भगत सिंह दो रातों से जागे हुए थे, इसलिए उन्होंने राजगुरु से कहा—“रघुनाथ, अब मुझसे जागा नहीं जाता, तुम जिम्मेदारी समझो तो मैं एक-आध घंटा सो लूँ।” राजगुरु ने तुरंत कहा—“आप निश्चिंत होकर सो जाइए, मैं समय पर जगा दूँगा।” भगत सिंह ने अपना ओवरकोट उन्हें देते हुए सावधान रहने को कहा और सो गए। लेकिन हुआ यह कि जब भगत सिंह की आँख खुली तो पहले उन्हें लगा कि एक बजा है, परंतु घंटे की आवाज़ लगातार आई—और जब गिनती पूरी हुई तो चार बज चुके थे। उधर राजगुरु बेंच पर गहरी नींद में खर्राटे ले रहे थे! इसी पुस्तक में वर्णित एक और महत्वपूर्ण प्रसंग लाला लाजपतराय जी की मृत्यु के प्रतिशोध से जुड़ा है। लाला लाजपतराय पर हुए लाठीचार्ज के कारण उनके निधन ने क्रांतिकारियों के मन में गहरा आक्रोश भर दिया। योजना बनी कि जिम्मेदार अंग्रेज़ अधिकारी स्कॉट को दंड दिया जाए। इस कार्य के लिए भगत सिंह, राजगुरु और चंद्रशेखर आज़ाद को चुना गया, जबकि पहचान और रेकी का कार्य जयगोपाल को सौंपा गया। चार दिन तक प्रतीक्षा के बाद भी स्कॉट बाहर नहीं निकला, तो राजगुरु की अधीरता बढ़ गई और उन्होंने भीतर जाकर ही कार्य करने की इच्छा व्यक्त की, जिस पर आज़ाद ने उन्हें कड़े अनुशासन का स्मरण कराया। घटना के दिन एक अंग्रेज़ अधिकारी मोटरसाइकिल के साथ बाहर निकला। जयगोपाल ने संकेत किया कि वही लक्ष्य है। भगत सिंह को कुछ संदेह हुआ, पर राजगुरु ने समझा कि उन्हें आगे बढ़ने का संकेत दिया जा रहा है। जैसे ही अधिकारी मोटरसाइकिल पर चढ़ने लगा, राजगुरु की रिवॉल्वर से चली गोली उसकी कनपटी के पार हो गई। इसके बाद भगत सिंह ने अपनी ऑटोमैटिक पिस्तौल से कई गोलियाँ दागीं। यह अधिकारी स्कॉट नहीं बल्कि सॉन्डर्स था, जो लाठीचार्ज में शामिल था। एक अन्य अधिकारी को पकड़ने की कोशिश में राजगुरु ने फिर गोली चलानी चाही, पर तकनीकी कारणों से वह नहीं चली। बाद में चंद्रशेखर आज़ाद ने स्थिति संभाली। राजगुरु की सरलता देखिए—जब उनके निशाने की प्रशंसा की गई तो उन्होंने सहज भाव से कहा, “मैंने तो सीने पर निशाना लगाया था, गोली सिर में लग गई।” बाद में ज्ञात हुआ कि रिवॉल्वर के कारतूस और नाल के बोर में अंतर होने के कारण ऐसा हुआ। इन प्रसंगों को पढ़कर स्पष्ट होता है कि ये अमर शहीद केवल असाधारण साहसी ही नहीं थे, बल्कि अत्यंत सरल, निश्छल और जीवन्त व्यक्तित्व के धनी भी थे। आज के दिन हम सबका यह कर्तव्य है कि इन वीरों के बलिदान को केवल स्मरण तक सीमित न रखें, बल्कि उनके आदर्शों को अपने जीवन में उतारने का प्रयास करें। विनम्र श्रद्धांजलि।
