Great job by a citizen & our midnight shift early this morning! A citizen noticed someone trying to enter their car, called police immediately with description. The car fled from Ofcs. but was identified as a stolen vehicle from another community, it was stolen on 03/28/2020.

Great job by WHPD, another great example of vigilant citizens and dedicated officers keeping their community safe. Berlin residents-keep those calls coming at night, we will be there quickly, great job lately we are getting a lot of suspicious vehicle reports.
Great job by a citizens & our midnight shift officers early this morning on Steep Hollow La! A citizen noticed a neighbor’s car had been entered by someone and called police. Officers made two arrests in the case with help from a WHPD K9 Team.

Last night, many residents reported their cars were entered (Four Rod Rd area). The vehicle on the right was stolen from a driveway this morning. Ofcs diligently patrolling neighborhoods at night but we need your help, lock doors, remove keys and valuables. #keepberlinsafe

Forty (40) cars stolen in the entire State of Connecticut in the past 48 hours-mostly from the suburbs. 29 (reportedly) stolen with the keys in the vehicle. Many used to commit other crimes. Please, STOP leaving your keys in your vehicles.

The 2020 Citizen's Police Academy begins 4/6/2020. Classes meet 7x each Monday from 6:30 - 9 PM. 4 seats remain and we are extending the application deadline to 3/13/2020. The Academy is open to all residents and anyone working in Berlin. Applications @ berlinpd.org.

At 8:50PM on Monday night, a black male, between 20-25 years old, robbed the Subway at 1801 Berlin Turnpike. A weapon was implied but not shown. No vehicle was seen. Contact Det. Fuini at 860-828-7080 with info.
