We are lucky in the product management role that there exists a comprehensive handbook showing us best practices in our profession. What is more amazing is how succinct and useful everything is. If you don’t have this book you need it! @jackiebo @gayle

For every app idea there is a person that will say "I can easily do that in Excel/Word/Wordpress". Don't ignore this person but don't necessarily give in either. If you don't have solid arguments about why they are wrong you need to get back and finish your research.

Tech products have a serious gap between what they promise their products will do for us and what they deliver. This gap is filled with marketing.

"We won't make this feature easier to use because it's not popular" is one of those things product managers need to stop and think more about. Is it not popular because it's not easy to use? Basic usage analytics may not be enough to uncover the truth behind this one.

If you are learning UX or Product management, I highly recommend taking time to go back to core content instead of high level books that you may be seeing everywhere. To begin with I would recommend everyone to take courses on two specific fields of psychology:

To improve more, get into understanding research principles. Psychology or education research are good fields because UX and product is related to humans more than other fields. You can read a free textbook here: open.umn.edu/opentextbooks/t…

I became a citizen a few months ago and voted for the first time today. I couldn't say a lot publicly about politics during my immigration process but I'm happy to say Democrats added another lifelong supporter to their list. I wish though @ewarren was on the ballot.

Notifications are an important part of digital products but they get a bad rep because many products are abusing this tool that's supposed solve user problems not the problems of their advertisers. caneruguz.com/post/the-abuse… #productdesign #ProductManagement

The best software consulting advice I ever got was to avoid speaking in absolutes. "never" -> rarely "useless" -> I don't see the value in this use case "always" -> usually "none" -> few It helps keep technical conversations open.

H1B visa has issues but this order will not help Americans get jobs. It will needlessly disrupt thousands of lives and put stress on companies and people that rely on the services of talented people who came here because Americans couldn't fill these positions in the first place.
Breaking News: President Trump will sign an executive order suspending foreign work visas, barring hundreds of thousands of people from coming to work in the U.S. The move includes the H-1B program for high-skilled workers and several other categories. nyti.ms/3hRwUQI
