Did you know that employers must make reasonable adjustments to their recruitment processes so that disabled people can apply? Failing to do so opens you up to legal action, but you also miss out on great talent.

Make sure you have a robust process in place so that disabled candidates can request adjustments. Email inboxes should be checked regularly, and staff must know how to respond to these requests.

🚩 Lack of salary transparency in job ads is a roadblock in #diverse talent recruitment. It’s not just frustrating for candidates, it’s bad for the growth of your #business. You need to prioritise honesty and pay transparency if you want to recruit diverse talent.

🕒 Interviewing candidates without clear salary expectations wastes time and resources. You'll interview candidates who want far more than you're willing to give, and miss out on those who didn't apply because they were unsure if they could afford to.

💡 Transparency is key. Disclosing salaries promotes fairness, builds trust, and attracts the right talent. It’s a win win for everyone. Don't discourage great talent from applying because you failed to provide critical info.

Signposting for anyone who may be interested. Ensuring that blind and visually impaired people are able to get online is vital, especially as so many disabled people still experience digital exclusion.

Employers must also be honest and open about the inequalities that exist within their organisation, making a commitment to address these in a meaningful way, rather than denying that they exist. #InternationalParityAtWorkDay

You can't just use the language of diversity and inclusion and assume that's enough. You've got to change the systems that contribute to this inequity. #InternationalParityatWorkDay
