Here at the zoo, we’re lucky to be home to two West African dwarf crocodiles, male ‘Papa’ (pictured) and female ‘Mama’. Don’t let their small size fool you – this is an apex predator that eats small mammals, amphibians, and fish. 🐟

Today is the last day to see our blonde black bear 'Manuka' before she heads off to her new home at another accredited zoo.
While we will miss her dearly, we are excited for the next stage in her journey and know she will continue to inspire a love of wildlife. 🐻

Our female woodland caribou ‘Primrose’ is turning five! 🎉
Would Primrose eat a primrose? 🤔 She might! In summertime, this species mainly eats grasses and graminoids, which are plants that look like grasses and have narrow leaves and barely noticeable flowers. 🌺

It's time to say "bye son" to our male bison calves! 🦬
As part of long-term herd management, our male wood bison calves, Ok’takii and Apapom, will be moving to our offsite conservation facility.

Female Humboldt penguin ‘Inca’ is turning nine today, while female ‘Lima’ turns eight tomorrow! 🥳
These penguins are known for their small size, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t dive deep! 🌊 Humboldt penguins are capable of diving 150 metres. 📏
