A powerful moment of light amid so much darkness:
At a scenic café in the Palestinian-majority city of Nazareth, a new Jewish-Arab political party was announced today, born out of the grassroots activism of Standing Together. The organization’s co-founders and leaders, Rula Daood and Alon-Lee Green will head the new party, called “A Place for Us All” (Makom Lekulanu), in elections slated for October.
“We have created a new party. A genuine Jewish-Arab partnership. A place for all”
“Instead of occupation, wars, more discrimination, and being unable to live in this country, we are fighting for peace, equality, and a shared life together.”
