I've been sitting on a secret all week and it's honestly killing me. I can’t tell you yet… so lemme tell you a story instead. Almost 10 years ago I met a guy named Rudy. 👇

I spent the past two days at @ColinandSamir’s @thepublishpress with 500 creators. It’s hard to express what these couple days felt like. As someone who has spent the past decade building platforms for creators and entrepreneurs, there is truly no better reward than getting to talk to smart and creative folks about what Circle can do for their future. A few years ago, I immigrated from NZ to NYC with the dream of building a tech company that scales and has a meaningful impact on the world. After starting my career at Teachable, I got hooked on building software for creators. I realized that building deeply consumer or enterprise tech is not what excited me; I was most motivated by the reward of building platforms for people who influence others with their creativity and spirit. I loved the idea that a platform I helped build could help them make a living, and impact the lives of their audience. When we started Circle, we chose to focus on community as a result of our belief in an added dimension: Creators who build true community transform people, and those transformations in turn help them build durable businesses. We watched as creators who built true community made both money and impact, and got off the content hamster wheel (at least, partially) Being able to share this aspect of my journey on stage at the event felt like one of those unique moments my life has been leading up to. For the rest of the day, I floated into a series of conversations that warmed me to no end. This involved meaningful chats with tens of Circle customers - so many of whom approached me or the team to say thanks and to tell us about their future plans. Behind this very special day were two creators I’ve been greatly influenced by for quite some time: @ColinandSamir. These fellas have helped define an entire industry, including aspects of Circle’s own vision. In the process, they've built a true community of their own: a community of creators. A part of this community got to experience Circle by joining the Press Publish community, and many seemed to already have communities on Circle of their own. Super grateful to them for choosing Circle as their platform of choice!

Finally moving to Circle! First challenge: move my 3,000 paid subs to Circle (by making them click the link to actually go there). Then onto the next challenge of bringing 30,000 new members to Circle (without chaos) in 2 years. Then what? 300,000 people?

Thrilled to be building the How to AI community and courses for @rubenhassid. We met up in Paris recently to chat about his vision for his community and how the types of educational programs he's looking to create for his audience. Ruben's audience is growing like I've never seen before. He's adding roughly 100k subs / month. His community and first workshops have now gone live, I can't wait to see what we build together
Excited to host @rubenhassid on Circle 💥 Ruben writes 'How to AI', the most popular AI newsletter in the world

Introducing the Circle MCP. You can connect your community to Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini and use it to look up members, queue up posts, analyze threads, create spaces, develop courses, send DMs, bulk-create tags, and 100 other things from your own AI ecosystem. It comes with both read AND write access, which makes it a lot more fun than other MCPs!

This year, more than 12 million people chose to spend their time in Circle communities. As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve been thinking a lot about the special moments happening in our communities every day for those millions of people. While other platforms are built to keep people scrolling, our communities help people learn new skills, take new directions, and create meaningful change for themselves and others. Far from mindless engagement, Circle communities are about enabling personal and professional transformations. It's easy to forget that every transformation is a life changing event. For some, this could be a new career or a business, and for others it's a new lifestyle. Not many in the world get to claim something as good and grand as their vocation, but we do. We also believe in our heart that making money, impact, and meaning shouldn’t be a trade-off. We think there’s a way for every creator, entrepreneur, and business to achieve all three, and to stop for nothing less. Once you’ve truly achieved it, you get to jump out of bed every morning with insatiable passion, purpose, and desire to build something beautiful for the world. Like I do every day! On that note, I made a short video reflecting on this theme and our most notable releases this year. A TL;DR of our major releases this year 🤯 - AI Agents - AI Workflows - AI Copilot - AI Summaries - Desktop App - Website Builder - Custom App Builder - Visual Email Builder - Push Notifications Builder - Circle Connect - Video Player Redesign - Live Redesign - Voice Notes In addition to those major releases, we shipped 200 minor improvements and design updates. THE TEAM TRULY GAVE IT THEIR ALL! As we wrap up the year, I want to share my heartfelt gratitude to every Circle team member and customer for being on this ride with us, and for the incredible effort you put in. You should be super proud. Circle is in the business of transformation. Every year, it gets a little less lonely to be building a company with transformation at the core, because people are finally starting to get it. The world needs us now more than ever. And thanks to reaching profitability this year, Circle will soon be hiring for 50 roles across the company, with the majority of these in our engineering and design teams, solely focused on making our product better. Thank you ❤️ See you in 2026!

Building your community, courses, events, website, and emails should feel like vibe coding. Incredibly excited to take the first step towards that vision with the launch of our AI Copilot 👏

With over 12M members in Circle communities, there are so many creators and brands to celebrate. Earlier this week, we flew a few of them into NYC to see their very own billboards in Times Square: — Tracy Avin from @JoinTroopHR (1,500 members): Professional network where HR leaders gain expert insights, join peer discussions, and grow their careers. — Jonathan Truong from @Codecademy (80,000 members): E-learning platform teaching AI, data, coding, and cybersecurity skills to help people unlock new opportunities. — Court Spitzer from @2entreprenistas (3,000 members): Membership empowering women founders to connect, collaborate, and scale their businesses with confidence. — Mila Clarke (@thehangrywoman) from Glucose Guide (2,000 members): A community for people living with diabetes to share experiences, get guidance, and access nutrition-friendly recipes and coaching. We wanted to share the experience of seeing their community on a big stage, and celebrate this milestone with them! They brought the theme of our campaign to life: “Whatever it is, there’s a Circle for that.”

It's one of those fun and vibey days at Circle today! We're excited to announce Circle Connect: our way of helping members form true connections in communities. The Internet used to be about making true connections... But somewhere along the way, we've started to lose that. Posts, likes, reels, and stories took over, and "content" became king. While content has a part to play in communities, we at Circle want to do our part in making the Internet feel a lot more human again. Connect will be key to our part in this. Let's bring back those moments in our communities when strangers turn into collaborators, and collaborators into friends 🤝

Whatever it is, there's a Circle for that. In case you missed it, we took over Times Square this week for a campaign featuring Circle creators like Ali Abdaal, Codecademy, Entreprenista, Mila Clarke, Jay Clouse, Pat Flynn, The Running Channel, and TroopHR! From run clubs to diabetes support groups, Circle helps creators and brands build homes for their communities, memberships, events, courses, and more.

14 years ago, I made my first ever trip to New York City as a tourist from New Zealand. After a month of walking every inch of this city while blasting Jay Z’s “Empire State of Mind”, the city started to seep into my soul. A day before I was supposed to fly back to New Zealand, I got the chance to go in an interview at a young startup, where the founders were kind enough to offer me a job on the spot (thanks Stefan & Michael!) That interview happened in a building near Times Square, and the whole experience was right out of a movie scene. I finally made it to New York City, where I’ve lived for the past decade , met my wife, became a father, and started a company. Flash forward... I finally made it to New York, where I’ve lived for the past decade , met my wife, became a father, and started a company. A couple days ago, we took over Times Square with a Circle campaign featuring some of our coolest customers, including Ali Abdaal, Entreprenista, TroopHR, Jay Clouse, Mila, Codecademy, The Running Channel, and Pat Flynn! The theme of the campaign was: “Whatever it is, there’s a Circle for that.” This campaign was our love letter to New York City and our community builders, both of whom make dreams happen for millions of people ❤️
