IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING PARKEN CHALLENGER CHAMPIONSHIP To all teams, players, partners, suppliers, talent, and members of the Counter-Strike community, It is with great regret that we must announce that Parken Challenger Championship Series #9-16, as well as the Parken Stadium Master Finals, have been cancelled and will not take place. This follows the decision by New Breed Agency ApS, the operating company behind the Parken Challenger Championship, to initiate bankruptcy proceedings. Over the past several months, management, shareholders, and partners have worked extensively to secure additional funding and explore alternative solutions that could allow the company and its projects to continue operating. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, a viable solution could not be reached. As a result, the company is no longer able to continue its operations or fulfil its future commitments, leaving no responsible alternative but to commence bankruptcy proceedings. We fully recognize that this announcement will impact many people and organizations who have supported the project, including teams, players, partners, suppliers, and service providers. We are also aware that there are outstanding obligations connected to completed events and ongoing operations. Following the initiation of bankruptcy proceedings, all creditor matters and outstanding claims will be handled in accordance with applicable bankruptcy legislation and under the supervision of the appointed bankruptcy estate. We understand that this news will be disappointing and frustrating for many. We share that disappointment. Towards the top of the list it’s basically “who has the most recent 10 "max event-weight" LAN wins at the ranking cut-off (July and August) ”Max event-weight" = any event with $1M prize pool. CAC, PGL Astana and IEM Cologne Major all count exactly the same. You’d of course 100 times rater win the Major as a player… but for VRS impact they have identical weight. VRS doesn't even know this years IEM Cologne is a major so to speak. It's just another tier 1 event.
