The reality since the new schedule began is stark. From 1 January to 1 May culturalvandalism.info records that @BBCRadioScot, plays by Scottish independent artists are down 23%, emerging/grassroots Scottish artists down 56% and female-led emerging/grassroots artists down 55%.

We need two Radio Scotland digital channels - music & arts, debate/talk & sports. We definitely need a revived BBC ethos of excellence & plurality, inspired more by podcast culture than commercial populism. We did a lot better in the 90s - I know, I was there
