Identity alone is not enough. As autonomous systems begin interacting, transacting, and coordinating at scale, verification becomes a foundational layer. ERC-8126 introduces an open standard for AI agent verification. Cybercentry contributed to and co-authored the standard, while serving as its first implementation. The goal was never to create a closed product. The goal was to help build a more secure and verifiable ecosystem.

One thing we're spending time thinking about now that ERC-8126 is live: How does value flow back into the ecosystem that helped build it? Lots of ideas. More to share soon.

ERC-8126 is now 'Final'. But standards are only the beginning. The real work starts with: Implementation. Integration. Adoption. Building the infrastructure is one challenge. Getting it into the hands of builders is the next. Onward.

Why should a project pay for verification it may never use? Autonomous systems are dynamic. Usage changes. Interactions change. Risk changes. Verification should be able to adapt alongside them.

Most security failures don't happen because a single component breaks. They happen because multiple systems interact. A secure contract. A compromised wallet. A manipulated frontend. Individually they look fine. Together they create risk. That's why verification in autonomous systems has to extend beyond a single audit.

As agent economies grow @base, identity becomes more important than execution. Knowing an agent can perform a task is useful. Knowing who you're actually interacting with is essential. Trust starts with verification.

People occasionally ask why I continue building around @virtuals_io and @base The answer is actually pretty simple. Interesting infrastructure is emerging there. Standards. Agent frameworks. Payment rails. Identity systems. Coordination layers. As a builder, it's hard not to gravitate toward environments where other builders are actively pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

Missing frontend security allows malicious interfaces to alter transaction details after contract verification completes. Verification must therefore extend to the final presentation layer.

Before autonomous systems can establish trust, they need a common verification standard @ethereum. That's the purpose of ERC-8126. A framework for agent registration, identity, and verification that can operate across multiple environments. Cybercentry helped build the standard and continues to implement it in production.
