I completely agree with this review of the Quest Pro. I received mine on launch day, was actually cautiously excited about it, and was ultimately disappointed. It’s a definite step forward, but not enough.

Mark Zuckerberg is terrified of even the rumors around Apple’s headset. Quest Pro was rushed to market in an attempt to beat them. A Quest 3 with only the color pass through and the improved optics would have been a winner… and that’s what we’ll get next year.
And it’s the software that’s the issue… the hardware is capable of doing things far beyond what’s actually possible with the apps and OS available today. The review covers that well.
I’m just realizing that I still have some southern influences on my speech. The “pin/pen merger” is what it seems to be called. I pronounce those two words identically and always have.
I still like news radio because it’s perhaps the only media that doesn’t feel like it’s adding itself to my todo list. I don’t feel the need to catch every single word.
