We're in the Mapquest era of AI, where all the maps in the world were convert to a start and end point. People born in the 90's don't realize that most cars had physical maps in the glove box and the fastest route was tribal knowledge. This access to context, and answers is akin to the current "chat" era of AI.
Entering the Waze era of AI, where point A to B is the goal, the algorithm will make recommendations and the human will learn to be the operator. Where the route for one person will change based on the operator. Where operator decides on the recommendation, but the AI drives.
