As Behaviour Officer, you'll take the lead, figuratively and literally, when it comes to the assessments of our dogs and their training programmes. You'll play a key role in supporting adopters, during the adoption process and after rehoming, to ensure that every dog has the best possible chance of successfully settling into their new lifeπ
What does this role do?
As a Behaviour Officer youβll:
πΎAssess the behaviour of dogs, before they enter the centre and during their stay, to identify potential behaviour needs.
πΎDesign and implement Behaviour Modification Programmes and training plans to enhance each dogβs chances of rehoming.
πΎOversee and support the implementation of training and behaviour plans by colleagues.
πΎMonitor the progress of individual training and rehabilitation programmes and maintain detailed records of the progress of each dog.

Mojo came into our care at @DT_Leeds at 8 months old. He found kennel life worrying so was placed in a foster home.
Thankfully he didn't have to wait long to find his forever home and has since settled perfectly. π₯°

"Mojo has settled in quickly, heβs like heβs always been part of the furniture.
Having Mojo has helped my mental health after sadly losing Rafael in August. I had him for 8 loving years & miss him terribly but Mojo has helped me to cope with his cheekiness!"
