Javism thought of the day! I urge site administrators to ensure their staff (novice to masterful) share a collective Racial Equity journey. Developing common language is key to Equity Implementation. Dont allow Equity work to be optional on your campus!

Money dont buy votes. A clear vision and a plan to execute is what I seek. Maybe I got spoiled from the last president. I loved to be inspired by the words being articulated. Obama, thanks for setting the bar at the right level. Strategy to get black middleclass vote.

Javism thought of the day! I will be interesting to hear if the Democratic candidates talk more about Racial Equity since they are moving to Neveda and South Carolina. I hope I dont witness keystone cops over the week around race. They had months to prepare for black folks.

Javism thought of day! If you had to rate 1-5 (5 being excellent) the execution of IEP modifications by gen ed tchrs how would rate your school/district? Start there, if you are trying to improve Special Ed services. We spend alot of time in mtgs w little accountability.

Can anyone share a Special Education support service/department etc... that has significantly impacted students that have been re-designated? We have to find best practices.

Javism thought of the day! Districts who are seeking next steps in their Equity work. I suggest developing site level Equity Teams to improve tier 1 instruction w An Equity lens. Training Equity members to conduct Equity Walks moves into coaching. youtu.be/ha8Rzq5ZXy8

Javism thought of the day! I love hot links. However, I have no pleasure if seeing how they are made. Watching the Iowa Caucuses was watching hot links being made. Not a great look!

Principal training programs need to be able to equipped administrators to facilitate Generation Y clashing with Baby Boomers as they leave the profession. Gen Y's are not as tolerate to know that many of our baby boomers have not done the anti-racist work! The are asking Why?

Dr. James Banks one of the scholars of multicultural education, provided a deeper framework of how teachers can incorporate culture as a means to have transformative learning in their classrooms. Maybe the attached framework can deepen your knowledge as you prepare your lessons.

If you have time, you should spend sometime deconstructing this.

Javism thought of the day! Teachers will expose their students to experience of Black scholars and achievers. The purpose of providing culturally conscious materials is to provide an cognitive stimulation of deep learning. If we dont push rigor, we are just celebrating.

Am I a warm demander or do I have alot of Fs in my grade book? A warm demander is a gateway a not a gatekeeper! youtu.be/EynaXxLfdMg

Javism thought of the day! A great sign you may have a productive Professional Development training is when the participants come with more than their cell phone, water bottle and keys. Equity facilitators, "dont ask for people first, ask for their best."

Each one teach one! Powerful learning in first grade - fifth grade per engagement. The little ones love learning from their peers. Great job Fairview Elementary Elementary. Mr. Ohman and Mrs. Kazimer!
