Tesco's now tell us they are going to source beef more locally. Is that good news for British livestock farmers? is it a double edged sword?

I feed my cats twice a day from sachets. There are some amazing ingredients stated on the packaging, I have never seen horse meat in gravy?

I have just spent some time looking through my cookery books. I didn't find a single recipe for horse meat? how strange.

So if horse meat is as safe to eat as beef? Why doesn't the packing say 'May contain Horse Meat' the same way as 'May contain Nuts'.
