Valuing and wanting to preserve our iconic blast furnace in Redcar as being representative of 170yrs of industry & life, isn’t resisting change or stopping progress and development. It’s a proud salute to that past, recognition of identity and an incredible gift to the future.

Our Beach Activity Event on Redcar Beach last week was a resounding success and it was lovely to see the children fascinated in our coastline 😊β™₯️ @teeswildlife

Should be lit up and celebrated. Soulless to pull it down.
Extraordinarily short sighted and another kick in the teeth for culture, history and the identifying image that gave birth to this entire region. Blast furnace can be seen from every direction, every surrounding town, village and hilltop. Sadly the wrong person at the wrong time.

I feel emotional!! First raised the absence of fence between caravan park & Redcar beach at Majuba on 20/07/2015 following complaints! The issue has been ongoing since. At last, this creates aesthetic, character, safety and lessens drift. Easily replaceable if damaged too. πŸ˜… πŸ‘

Take a bow Stephen Smith who organised multiple groups to ascend on South Gare this morning to tackle litter & fly tipping. Groups came in from all over including as far away as Billingham, Thornaby, Middlesbrough, Guisborough and many more. Thank you Steve. An amazing clearance.
