This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For as long as I can remember, I have always chased the cutting edge of PC hardware.
Those who have followed me long enough know that even 32GB of RAM feels like “small memory” for the kind of ridiculous multitasking my brain demands.
I have owned almost everything... Alienware, ASUS, Dell, MSI... even the very limited edition Acer Predator 21X, #177 of only 300 units ever made.
So believe me when I say this is not a hardware problem.
The issue, far too often, is Windows.
Somehow, no matter how powerful the machine is, Windows always finds a way to make it feel less efficient than it should. Random slowdowns, weird background processes, driver drama, unexplained lag, UI glitches... all the little things that make a monster machine feel like it is being held back.
And before anyone says “just get a MacBook”...
I have one.
It cannot begin to do half the things I do. Some of the proprietary and custom software I use simply do not exist on macOS. Others still do not have proper Apple Silicon-optimized versions. And honestly, I have built years of muscle memory around Windows shortcuts and workflows. Switching to macOS slows me down more than it helps.
I wish I could fully switch to Linux too... but alas, same wahala. Compatibility issues. Workflow issues. Software issues. Different prison, different bars.
At this point, I am genuinely looking forward to these new NVIDIA Spark CPUs to see whether the Windows experience finally improves, because one thing that can genuinely make me lose my marbles is a slow computer.
I do not mind paying for performance.
I mind paying for performance and then watching the operating system waste it.
Microsoft, I love you... but please, fix Windows.
We have AI now. Feed the Windows codebase to your most powerful model, ask it to audit, optimize, declutter, rethink hardware efficiency across multiple manufacturers... whatever needs to be done.
Just please...
Let powerful computers feel powerful again.
