A historic move for labor rights! Last week, a new ILO Convention on decent work in the platform economy was adopted by the International Labour Conference. The vote was 406 to 8, with 36 abstentions.
The adoption of this Convention is a landmark moment, and it now needs to be translated into real changes in workers’ lives.

There are always winners and losers in the @FIFAWorldCup.
But everyone who watches the #WorldCup should know this story of a family cruelly separated when a father tried to take his 10 and 14-year-old sons to watch the @FIFAcom Club World Cup final at MetLife Stadium. He was arrested, held in Delaney Hall ICE detention center, and deported. His wife and children miss him terribly and wrote to President Donald Trump to “let our family be together again.”
