Our monthly Coffee Morning today discussed links, differences and potential collaborations between indexers and library and information professionals (LIPs), joined by members of CILIP. Many indexers come from an this background, and often do this work alongside indexing.

Like @KathyBurke and @jennyeclair on the excellent @deathpod, we deplore a non-fiction book without an index. But we can reassure Jenny that people do still get trained to create indexes, not least by our training course. Maybe an index in the paperback of your memoir, Jenny?
