We believe in our program that trust is built thru repeated experiences of your behaviors displayed over time in 3 categories: Character; Competence; Connection.
On the eve of our first Spring Ball practice โ his very first as Head Coach, Coach Scalley shared a monumental moment with our family and friends in Orem as my nephew Aisa Galeai opened his LDS mission call, and he found out heโs being called to serve in Kingston, Jamaica.
I had to be there (Aisaโs my sisterโs son), but Morgan did not; however, he has built such a super strong relationship of trust with Aisa (and frankly many others over the years) that these players feel a deep sense of connection with him. Aisa asked him to share this moment with him and Coach Scalley obliged.
My wife caught this moment between these two Utah Men; Coach Scalley gave Aisa advice and encouragement on future things to come during this next phase of his life.
As an Uncle, our family was honored Coach Scalley showed-up to support Aisa. Yet as a coach, I was likeโฆok, ok, I see now why Morgan Scalley has had years of recruiting and coaching success โ he leads with his heart and itโs all genuine.
I finally got home to SLC. One more sleep and ITโS ON A KRACKINโ witโ Spring Ball.
Forever proud to be at the University of Utah and led by Morgan Scalley
