A Hard Lesson is out now. Listen here: lnk.to/PGS40 “This is the oldest track of the project. It probably started in the late 80s or early 90s when I was in Senegal. I was falling in love with the music I heard there. I loved the tension created by the use of polyrhythms, particularly the threes and fours, so that was the start of this song."

Peter discusses the origin of 'A Hard Lesson' in the latest Full Moon video over on YouTube. You can watch the full video here: youtu.be/rW1t3UE3qvI?si=lq82… "I have to thank Charles Hughes because I asked him to sort through some of my old cassettes, of which there are many boxes, and he came across some of the many cassettes of Dakar 12, as it was then known, and liked it. He found the multi-tracks and added it to the list to be considered for the record. There's parts of it I've always liked, but it has effectively a new set of lyrics, some different melodies, different approach on the chorus, and I think it's a much better song now than it ever has been." - pg

'So' was released on this day 40 years ago. "I think part of the reason that ‘So’ works so well was that the band was really firing off each other and we had a great sound and production team. It was compact in the process and the way it was put together." - pg 📷 Anton Corbijn, Trevor Key, Armando Gallo

"It's a good band performance in the sense that it's not sort of built up over time with many different layers. It does feel more live than a lot of the tracks" - pg Listen to 'Won't Stand Down' now: lnk.to/PGS39

If you haven't already, you can watch the latest full moon video for 'Won't Stand Down' over on YouTube here: youtube.com/watch?v=TWpVZUPJ… “I had originally thought about trying to create some music for TheElders.org who are an extraordinary group of people. Their currency is not based on military power, economic power or political power, but just the moral authority they have from having lived extraordinary, selfless lives. That's something which I wanted to talk about, write about and encourage, because it's pretty dark out there in lots of places and I think we need people who can just nudge both us and our leaders and keep alive some basic values of justice, compassion and democracy – a hope that can help us start envisioning a just, peaceful and fairer world." - pg
