The Johannesburg Development Agency (
@JDA_joburg) is set to play a central role in delivering the City’s R97.1 billion 2026/27 budget, which places infrastructure renewal, mobility, and urban regeneration at the heart of Johannesburg’s investment agenda.
The budget includes major allocations toward roads and stormwater upgrades, public transport infrastructure, precinct revitalisation, and township renewal programmes aimed at improving everyday life for residents, commuters, and businesses across the city.
Through projects such as the Inner-City Eastern Gateway, High Court Precinct, Walkable Network, Orange Farm Renewal Programme, and Jabulani Precinct upgrades, the JDA will continue driving development that improves connectivity, revitalises public spaces, strengthens local economies, and supports safer, more inclusive communities.
Under the theme “Building Johannesburg Together: Investing Today, Securing Tomorrow,” the budget reinforces the City’s commitment to building a more functional, resilient, and better-connected Johannesburg for all.
