Hello! I am a freelance graphic designer seeking new clients. I’ve put my modest editing skills to good use to prepare a short video by way of an introduction. Please share, and if you have a creative project please get in touch! Thanks and buon lavoro ☺️

From Fox’s coverage of the World Cup you’d be forgiven for thinking that football was an individual sport. All they’re concerned about is certain superstar players meeting their expectations and perpetuating a pre-conceived narrative. It’s so juvenile, American and BORING.

John Strong on Fox is the first football commentator I’ve ever heard for whom the match itself seems like an inconvenience, as it forces him occasionally to interrupt the mostly inane and speculative narratives he insists on shoving down our throats for ninety minutes.

🇮🇹💜⚽️ It’s always an honour to be asked to contribute to a magazine, especially when that means writing about Roberto Baggio. The ‘Goals’ issue of @MundialMag is out now!

RT @victorrvaIe: funny how born to run (the album) opens with the best song ever written (thunder road) and yet somehow every song on that…

I think of this every time I walk past the stock exchange on the way to my office.
Robert Downey Jr. was horrified by what he saw when he visited Wall Street in the 90s

Songs I absolutely did not expect to hear today: “I Don’t Want To Be A Hero” by Johnny Hates Jazz. Reached number 11 in August ’87. Pretty sure I had the 7-inch single…

I’ve spent the last 24 hours trying to identify the coffee shop in this scene from “City Hall” (1996). The paintings, red seating and midcentury wall sconces all seem too specific for it to be a set. Can anyone out there help? At this point @johncusack may be my only hope…

One of my favourite singles of the nineties.
Now that everyone's banging on about 90s music, let us not forget this gem from Uncle Jools' Later show in '95. McAlmont & Butler - Yes

But do we really need another sibling rivalry-themed nineties reboot?

The most wholesome thing about these Olympics is the positive message they’ve sent to kids with less than perfect eyesight.

Just finished this. A very fast read (I only started it the other day). Turns out the recent Netflix series adhered more closely to the novel than the 1999 movie did. Now I need to see “Plein Soleil” with Alain Delon. Does anybody know if it’s streaming anywhere?

I just popped to the IGA and wine shop and in both stores an employee said to me, “I like your shirt.” This was the shirt:

Why do so many English-speaking people/social media accounts say “AS Roma”? People used to say “AC Milan” to distinguish from “Inter Milan” (an anglicism), but nobody ever says “SS Lazio” or “UC Sampdoria.” So in the context of football teams why doesn’t “Roma” suffice?

I don’t understand why people put their sunglasses on backwards like this (instead of putting them on top of their head, which seems more natural to me). It looks so awkward and surely they could fall off behind you at any moment…

It’s the 30th anniversary of Barry Davies’ one and only World Cup Final commentary. And like a true master at work, here he doesn’t disappoint with his opening lines. 🇺🇸 It was quite ridiculous that the BBC didn’t give the great man any more.🎙️

I wasn’t in Pasadena on July 17th 1994, but I do have an unused ticket from the World Cup Final that was held that afternoon at the Rose Bowl. The original owner not only missed an historic match but also a pre-game show by Whitney Houston.
