Met with an extraordinary range of leaders: superapps like KakaoGroup, leading crypto exchanges, banks, reporters, and influencers building the next generation of internet finance and the agentic economy.

We were happy to get to see companies like @BDACSKorea building a Korean won-backed stablecoin on Arc, our economic operating system, and leaders from Hashed, Hecto Financial, Danal, Travel Wallet, Samsung Card, Toss, Hyundai Card, Koda, Shinhan Bank, KB Financial Group, Shinhan Bank, Galaxia Moneytree, Woori Bank.
There were so many companies and leaders we didn’t get to meet with because travel issues cut our trip short!
But our message was clear and consistent: we want to work with local leaders — entrepreneurs and regulators alike — to ensure the internet financial system actually works for businesses and people in South Korea.
This is about building together. We will be back.

The Senate’s passage of the GENIUS Act marks a historic moment for the future of money. We commend Senators on both sides of the aisle for working together to craft pragmatic, bipartisan legislation that supports innovation while protecting consumers and preserving the strength of the U.S. dollar in the digital age. Since 2021, Senate and House committees have held extensive hearings and markups on stablecoin legislation and the GENIUS Act is the product of those deliberations. We urge the House to act without delay and send this critical bill to the President’s desk so it can become law.

A terrible tragedy occurred in my home state of Minnesota early this morning. A gunman, disguised as a police officer, shot and wounded State Senator John Hoffman and his wife and subsequently shot and killed State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband.
A few months ago, the bishops of Minnesota visited the State Capitol in order to speak to some of the political leadership of our state. Both Sen. Hoffman and Rep. Hortman were among those we visited with. I was deeply impressed by both. Rep. Hortman listened to us with sharp intelligence and acute attention. And I had a wonderful conversation with Sen. Hoffman, who was a graduate of St. Mary’s University in my diocese. He shared his passion for Catholic Social Teaching.
God knows we are divided society, but our political differences must never, ever give rise to violence. Please pray for the swift recovery of Sen. Hoffman and his wife and for the repose of the souls of Rep. Hortman and her husband.

Kevin’s career has spanned leading and building some of the most transformative platforms of the last two decades — from building Twitter into a global utility, to helping scale products at Instagram, to shaping the vision for the Libra project as co-creator of Novi at Facebook/Meta. Kevin now leads product at OpenAI, another incredibly important platform for advancing the world.
