Not enough people understand this, or know this. For every gripe viewers had of the show, they were convinced it was the CBC making decisions. It was not. Every decision made the last 12 years was made exclusively by Sportsnet. They rented CBC's airwaves to reach all Canadians.
You need to understand re CBC & Rogers. For 9/12 yrs Rogers paid CBC in value kind for CBC staff (mostly production) & studio space. CBC got to fulfill their mandate by having games & Rogers kept 100% of the ad revenue while CBC got 3 mins of promo time per game. CBC made no $

In addition to TSN, @frankcorrado22 is also killing it on The Athletic Hockey Show podcast with @seangentille & @DownGoesBrown. Frankie is a great analyst and an even better person, despite his disdain for grilled pineapple....which is awesome.
While his distaste for the grilled pineapple at @fogorestaurants in unforgiveable, @frankcorrado22 is quietly becoming one of the best analysts in the sport of hockey. His radio hits on par with @rayferraro21 & @mike_p_johnson rareified air IMHO

Itβs metastatic bone cancer that spread from the prostate. They caught the bone issue quite early and with radiation and hormone therapy itβs under control, but he will live with cancer for the rest of his life. Listen man- I understand if you donβt like my Dadβs politics and you hate me because you believe everything Fox News has told you. Iβm fine with that, but my Dad has cancer. How is that an issue you want to attack. What sickness is in you that makes that fair game Patrick.

It was SO clear that Blue Jays radio had to call Vladdyβs go ahead double off a monitor.
Sounded like it was in a studio & clear that Eric Smith was at the mercy of the tv pictures.

Another point to consider in the Vegas/Cassidy situation - the Golden Knights had to ask the Philadelphia Flyers for permission to talk to John Tortorella.
The courtesy was granted and now Cassidy's replacement has VGK in the Western Conference final.
