Why do I care so much about getting a copy of #Inferior into all schools? Because I don’t want to just tell girls they can do anything. I want them to read it, be empowered, and join our fight for equality. #thisgirlcan justgiving.com/crowdfunding/…

If you’re a Guardian or Observer reader, please share this. The need for a strong, free & independent press couldn’t be greater. Yet, here it is. The billionaire Scott Trust is preparing to push a core part of the Guardian over the cliff into the hands of speculators & profiteers
Observer owner Scott Trust has delayed making a final decision on the sale to Tortoise after meeting this afternoon, but said that "talks continue to progress and there are a few outstanding points".

The hill I will die on: STEM grad programs MUST teach PhD students how to communicate their science to the public and legislators alike. This is 💯 not a drill.

🎯 @imperialcollege is really one of the jewels of UK science and tech - and produces some amazing founders
13 Nov 2024
I'm so impressed with @imperialcollege Ranked Number 2 in the world, overtaking Oxford and Cambridge. Their top graduates are coming out with useful degrees like Computer Science, Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering. And it's really notable how practical and commercial they are - compared with theory-heavy courses elsewhere. It's a huge win for the UK - we're now home to 3 of the global top 5 Universities.
