You were considered fat & worthless if you weren’t good at all sports and my PE teacher used to call us cunts if we didn’t finish a full 2 hours of track.
Italy aren't at the World Cup, but pasta is still making headlines! 😂🍝🇮🇹
Socceroos assistant Hayden Foxe explains how a 12pm kick off against USA changes things ... leading to a hilarious exchange between Aussie reporters.
So let the anthems echo loud from Leeds to distant shores,
Of Sinfield’s heart, unyielding, vast — a knight forevermore.
For in the battle none can win, he chose to stand and fight,
A beacon for the MND, a friend’s eternal light.
Now honour crowns the quiet grace of one who gives his all,
Arise, Sir Kevin Sinfield — hear the kingdom’s call!
For services to rugby’s soul and MND’s brave stand,
A knight of compassion’s realm, a hero to the land.
Not for glory, not for fame, but for a friend’s last breath,
He turned his strength to healing’s flame, defying fear and death.
In every stride, in every pound, Rob’s spirit runs ahead,
A brotherhood unbroken still, though earthly light has fled.
Miles of pain for hope’s reward, eleven million strong,
For research, care, and centres bright where broken voices belong.
The Rob Burrow Centre stands, a beacon in the fight,
Built on loyalty’s endless road through sorrow’s longest night.
What is a friend if not the one who runs when others rest?
Kevin laced his boots for seven marathons, seven days of test.
Pushing wheels where Rob once flew, across the finish line they came,
Tears and triumph intertwined, in Rob’s beloved name.
From league to union’s wider stage, his game knew no divide,
But deeper still, a friendship called when shadows grew beside.
His brother Rob, a lion small, struck down by MND,
A cruel thief that steals the fire, yet spares the heart’s decree.
Ode to Sir Kevin Sinfield! 🗡️
In the fields of Headingley where legends clash and roar,
A warrior rose in blue and white, steadfast forevermore.
Kevin Sinfield, captain bold, with tackle fierce and true,
Seven titles in his grasp, a leader through and through.
TAYLOR TO DEPART AT END OF SEASON
The Vikings can confirm that head coach Scott Taylor will leave the club at the end of the season to take up an opportunity in Super League.
Scott was appointed ahead of our inaugural professional campaign and has played a big part in the development of the team over the last two years.
The club has been aware of Scott's ambitions for several months, whilst he also respected the need for stability and continuity as we look to become established in the Betfred Championship.
A collaborative review of the performance structure has taken place over recent weeks with succession planning in mind - and the club has already identified its future coaching structure which we look forward to sharing with our supporters and partners in due course.
We thank Scott for his professionalism and contribution to the Vikings from day one and wish him every success in his future endeavours.
