ALT 🚩 Critical Fire Weather Alert 🚩 Southern California is facing critical fire weather through Wednesday. Life-threatening winds and dangerously low humidity are forecast for much of Southern California - from Ventura to San Diego - creating a significant risk of rapid fire spread.

ALT Red Flag Warnings are in effect for Portions of So. Cal. until Wed evening. Certain areas of L.A. and Ventura county will be under Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) Red Flag Warnings from Tue 4 am PST until noon Wed. Areas included in the PDS are the Western San Gabriels and I5 Corridor, Santa Susana Mountains, Ventura County Valleys (especially Simi Valley, Moorpark, Santa Paula, South Mountain), Southern Ventura County Mountains, Western Santa Monicas, Northern San Fernando Valley (especially Highways 118/210 corridors from Porter Ranch to San Fernando), and Ventura County Coast (mainly hills above Camarillo/Oxnard westward to Ventura). Have multiple ways to receive evacuation info, do NOT do anything that could spark a fire, and visit www.fire.ca.gov/prepare to develop a wildfire action plan. Winds may be weaker than last event, though still strong enough to potentially cause explosive fire growth. Wind gusts of 45-70 miles per hour, locally damaging, with 8-15% humidities.

ALT A Life Threatening and destructive windstorm is expected Tuesday Afternoon through Wednesday morning for much of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. The areas of greatest concern include: Highways 118/210 corridors, the San Gabriel, Santa Susana, and Santa Monica Mountains & Foothills, the San Gabriel and San Fernando Valleys,. As well as the following cities: Pasadena, Burbank, San Fernando, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Simi Valley, Sylmar, Porter Ranch, Altadena, La Crescenta, and Malibu.
