Every match day of the FIFA 2026 World, we will be spotlighting a player with a ESEA heritage from a country which plays on that day. Match day 4, a player who is at this year’s tournament, TAHITH CHONG. The former Premier League player is of Chinese heritage and is one of the few players in the Curaçao squad actually born on the Caribbean island. @TheBlueWaveFFK @kickitout @SRTRC_England @FootballMuseum @FIFPRO

🗣️ "The 2026 World Cup has failed its first test before a ball has been kicked." Kick It Out CEO Samuel Okafor says that if global communities are unable to travel, participate or simply be visible, then the game has not lived up to its promise. 🔗 Read full story here: bit.ly/3RY9UWE

A year ago, football learned of the passing of Uriah Rennie. A trailblazer, a pioneer and a figure whose impact extended far beyond the pitch. Following his passing, Kick It Out colleagues reflected on the impact that Uriah Rennie had on them and English football. Today, we remember Uriah and the lasting contribution he made to the game.

"Sometimes I wish I'd never played football, to tell you the truth, because some of the pain, I can still feel it." Roly Gregoire sets the record straight after 46 years. A reminder that representation, excellence and impact exist across every level of football. From Wembley to Windsor Castle, leading the frontline or from the boardroom, this week brought powerful moments worth celebrating. Shoutout to Akil Howson, Omar Berrada, Kerry Davis and Khadija Shaw for continuing to inspire, lead and break new ground in football.

🗣️ “If clubs say they represent their communities, that should be visible off the pitch too.” New FA Rule N data gives us a clearer picture of diversity across football clubs in England, but data alone won’t drive change. That’s why we’re calling on organisations to back our recommendations to the Independent Football Regulator for stronger accountability on representation in the game. 🔎 See if your club reflects its community by clicking the link here: bit.ly/40OEaEJ 🤝 Email us at info@kickitout.org if your organisation would like to support our submission.

Positive action like this matters. Clear accountability helps send the message that this discriminatory chanting has no place in our game. We all have a role to play in building a game that welcomes everyone, and in standing up to discrimination when it happens. Watch our short explainer on the history and impact of this chant below. 👇
The FA has fined Cardiff City £15,000 after the club's fans aimed homophobic chants at Chelsea. #BBCFootball #CCFC

We stand with Tottenham's Kevin Danso and all players who are calling out this vile abuse. It takes huge courage. Kevin’s response is incredibly powerful. Reports of discrimination sent to Kick It Out – whether in the professional game, grassroots or online – continue to rise this season, but we will meet that with the same force. We will continue working with clubs, governing bodies, authorities, and regulators to hold more people accountable and ensure that social media firms provide greater protection for players. We must all play a part in standing up to racist abuse or any discrimination when we see it or hear it.
Since yesterday’s fixture against Brighton, which took place during the Premier League’s No Room For Racism weekend, Kevin Danso has been, and continues to be, subject to significant and abhorrent racist abuse on social media. There is no place for racism at Tottenham Hotspur. There is no place for racism in football. Read our statement: thfc.pro/4sIGXdY
