He did the county some service š³ļø For a time in the 1990s Kildare GAA was in dreamland with an All-Ireland Final appearance and numerous thrilling Leinster Finals. What a colossus of the game Mick O'Dwyer was. There'll be some wake in the Kingdom this weekend no doubt. RIP.

'Usual howls of protest' - what a patronising and flippant response from a state-funded organisation. The financial burden of these unnecessary labels (found nowhere else in the world) will also severely damage export prospects for Irish breweries, stymie growth, and affect jobs.

Clear articulation of why Ireland is progressing its alcohol health information labelling. Usual howls of protest from vested interests about these common sense measures. Time to put the consumer first and provide the facts not just myths on the bottle.

In Black Doves, Keira Knightly goes out in the middle of the night, gets blown out of a flat into a canal, goes home, fights and kills a bloke, goes back to bed, not a bother.
I'll get up to get a glass of water, dogs start barking, I drop the glass, everyone's awake and angry.

The audacity of the current govt parties with their hollow election promises. The weakness of the main opposition. If the campaigning & TV debates are anything to go by, there's little on offer. Word salads all round. No wonder people are disillusioned! Vote randomers in GE24.

It was a political dance-off in Monaghan town today. Fine Gaelās Simon Harris and Sinn FĆ©inās Mary Lou McDonald both visited local shop Sound Quality Gifts within hours of each other, both joining in for some jiving.

Random shot in the dark here, but there's an Irish fellow does great impressions (Pat Spillane, Des Cahill and the like) and I've seen them pop up on TikTok and Reels. Continuous vids where he switches between characters. He's not Al Foran or Conor Moore. If anyone knows..? Thnx!

Bot Swallows Universe is one of the best series I've seen in a long time. It's fairly dark in places but a great story, great cast, and dotted with humour and comic moments.
