At the 2026 Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation National Medical Student Conference, Medical Students Alon Noy of Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine and Sarah Benjamin of Tulane School of Medicine presented on their participation in Ballet For All Kids, a nonprofit program developed by Bonnie Schlachte that teaches ballet to neurotypical, physically disabled, and neurodivergent kids.

Congratulations to the Stanford University Center on Early Childhood on receiving a three-year Esther A. & Joseph Klingenstein early childhood grant to support the development, testing, and evaluation of the FIND Learning Pathways Framework. The framework guides educators from online learning into video-based reflection and coaching. The project will also integrate iFIND, an AI tool that reduces video review time and makes coaching more efficient. Over three years, FIND will test, refine, and scale this approach to create lasting impact for early childhood educators and the children they serve.

Congratulations to the Harvard Graduate School of Education on receiving an Esther A. & Joseph Klingenstein early childhood grant to support the project, “Generative AI Agents and Young Children,” led by Ying Xu, PhD, Assistant Professor of Education. This project will conduct the first empirical study on AI-powered digital companions and their effects on young children and caregivers, focusing on the developmental impact of AI-enabled toys. The findings will provide causal evidence to guide age recommendations, responsible AI toy design, and policy decisions related to AI technologies for young children.

The ERSS program provides a diverse cohort of schools across the country with professional learning, teacher and leader coaching, and resources focused on evidence-aligned literacy in Grades K-3.
