Yvette Nolan was born in 1961 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, to an Algonquin mother and an Irish father. Playwright, dramaturg, director and educator, Nolan was a writer-in-residence at several universities, the National Arts Centre in Ottawa and the Saskatoon Public Library.
