Russ you know me… I’m a little bit twisted… I used to love to watch that guy just dominate the LOS. Was a huge Steelers fan and Webster’s consistent work without fanfare resonated with me as a kid.
I met Mike briefly in 1985. Our friend Tom Jackson tells the story of Pittsburgh's upset of the Broncos in the 1984 Divisional Playoffs at Denver. NT Rubin Carter was a standout player, and Tommy had never seen him handled 1-on-1 until Webster did just that in Pittsburgh's win.

“If I were a GM, I wouldn’t even think about bringing Brandon Aiyuk on my team. I don’t care how talented he is. At what point is he going to be upset about where he’s going to sit on the plane? At what point is he going to be upset that he only got two targets and didn’t have a catch in a game? At what point is he going to stop showing up to work?… I always say this about guys, intrinsically motivated vs extrinsically motivated. He’s neither. The dude got paid and he still quit.”
