Once again impressed by
@maticrobots 's ability to impress in the oft-overlooked areas of user experience. In this case: warranty repairs
I was initially frustrated at needing to send in my Matic for repairs less than 8 months into ownership and the fact that it took 2 weeks to get back (though the pain of missing it speaks to how much my family has come to rely on it).
One thing turned the experience around however: they upgraded my Matic while it was in the shop!
I assume this is because they're pursuing something similar to the Tesla model, where they are quietly updating the hardware over time in response to common failure points without officially releasing a new model.
Not only did they upgrade parts of the Matic, but they replaced a few parts that had experienced wear, and sent a refill box of accessories.
And it was all free of charge, including shipping.
This made me feel like I actually came out ahead from the repair experience, instead of just going through the hassle of repackaging the Matic, sending it back, and being without it for two weeks.
Kudos
