With water reserves in Mumbai’s seven lakes dropping to 10.35 per cent, the BMC has halted water supply to swimming pools and construction sites from June 17.

A woman from Kalyan has alleged that she was subjected to months of physical and mental abuse by her husband and in-laws over dowry demands. She claimed she was assaulted during pregnancy, denied adequate food, burned with hot water and forcibly had her head shaved.
According to police, a case has been registered against five relatives under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita after the woman escaped and was admitted to a hospital in Ulhasnagar. The investigation is currently underway.

Delhi Police have dismantled an alleged Pakistan-linked terror network, arresting seven operatives accused of planning attacks, smuggling arms and narcotics, and gathering intelligence on potential targets across Delhi-NCR.
Officials said the group allegedly worked under handlers based in Pakistan and had surveyed crowded public places, key establishments and religious figures. During the operation, police seized five pistols, 41 live cartridges and seven mobile phones, claiming the crackdown helped prevent a major terror plot.
