For nearly four decades, Professor Annis brought history to life, connecting ideas, people, and perspectives in ways that challenged students to think deeper and aim higher. His impact reached far beyond campus. Through lectures, panels, and community conversations, he brought learning into the world—reminding us that education is not just about understanding the past, but shaping the future.

MC Alert: Due to a pipe break in the chilling system and the current high temperatures, nine (9) buildings on the Montgomery College Rockville Campus will be closed Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17, 2026. The affected buildings are:
· Campus Center (CC)
· Theater Arts Building (TA)
· Physical Education Center (PE)
· Academic Annex (CB)
· Paul Peck Art Building (AR)
· Music Building (MU)
· Gudelsky Institute for Technical Education (GU)
· South Campus Instruction Building (SB)
· Parilla Performing Arts Center (PA)
Normal operations will continue as scheduled in all other campus buildings during this time.

"Montgomery College took me from a life of instability to one of stability, hope, and success," began current Montgomery College student Devyn Dees, in his testimony to members of @MocoCountyMD. While studying at MC, Devyn is also employed as a lab technician at @pharmaron in Germantown, MD.
"MC's professors don't just read textbooks to students-they share their real-world, professional experience," say Devyn. "My professors have exposed us to the local biotech industry through field trips and other opportunities, so we have a better understanding of what our careers might look like."
