Just finished a sweet honeydew melon I picked up at Farm & Flower market in Manchester. Haven't had its like in a long time.

Avocados are in season. So they're not local, but they're in our stores and they're tasty right now. I eat 'em with a sprinkle of salt.

Miles Smith Farm in Loudon #NH is selling nice flank steaks--an inexpensive and flavorful cut of beef. Cook hot on the grill w salt & lime.

Apple Ridge Growers in Boscowen #NH has rose hips, the seed pod of the rose plant. Native Americans used them as both fruit and vegetable.

Local #NH peaches are fantastic this year--best I've had in a long time. Farm & Flower in Manchester, but most farm stands and markets too.

Starting to see NH blackberries. The ones I bought at Wilson's yesterday are deep, dark, and heady like wine.
