Making history in the Glades 🛠️ High school is all about finding your spark, and these students just built a great path forward. West Technical Education Center proudly celebrated its 2026 Inaugural Career Dual Enrollment Welding Graduation Ceremony! Through this innovative opportunity, these students completed a certificate program while balancing their regular high school demands. Every graduate earned industry certifications and a $1,000 scholarship to continue their welding education at Palm Beach State College! 🎓✨ Congrats! During the June School Board meeting, the Board recognized Digital Vibez for its county-wide initiative focusing on physical activity, nutrition, and healthy behaviors. Digital Vibez presented awards to the School District, as well as Sunrise Park Elementary, Pine Jog Elementary, and Okeeheelee Middle for their top 3 finishes in this year’s Let’s Move - Commit to Change Physical Activity Challenge.

During the June School Board meeting, the Board recognized two students for their academic achievements in science. 🔬 At the Palm Beach Regional Science & Engineering Fair, Francesca Rodriguez, a 2026 graduate of Palm Beach Central High School, earned first place in Earth & Environmental Science, as well as Best in Fair. Nicholas Stan, a 2026 graduate of A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, won first place in Chemistry. Both students placed in the top 3 of their respective categories at the Florida State Science & Engineering Fair in April. We are so proud of your success! ⚛

The Hawks beat St. Thomas Aquinas 27-19 to win the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 3A state championship This victory capped off a 20-2 season and a number one national ranking. Congrats again to the players, Coach Scott O’Hara, and Principal Bob Hatcher.
