Sign our petition to Nick Thomas-Symonds — Paymaster General of the United Kingdom - asking him to stop the Civil Service Pension Crisis and bring pension administration back in-house. The pension delays are causing real hardship: pensioners have been forced into financial harship, while bereaved spouses and ill-health retirees are being left waiting for the support they need at some of the most difficult times in their lives. megaphone.org.uk/petitions/s…

First day of our Sodexo strike was a strong success, with picket line support from PCS members, Irish Congress, Unison, UCU, Unite, NIPSA and Belfast and District Trades Council. Gerry Murphy, assistant general secretary of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, said “Irish Congress fully supports PCS members in Sodexo on strike to defend against redundancies. Disputes like these highlight the urgent need for the Good Jobs Bill to progress to debate in the NI assembly.” Unison's Irish regional Secretary Patricia McKeown talked about the campaign to oppose privatisation and profiteering by multinational companies across the public sector. Maria Morgan, NIPSA deputy general secretary said "NIPSA stands with PCS members in Sodexo, on strike to fight redundancies. Stay strong, comrades. We support you".
