I would say that a large percentage of farmers don't believe in climate change, but they are aware that we're having 50/100 year flooding events every 3-5 years lately. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

We're not even out of April yet, and I just saw my first firefly of the season. The longer I live, the more strange shit I see.

Bermudians, on the contrary, live in a permanent state of resource consciousness. They prove that when you make individuals responsible for their own survival, conservation stops being a political issue and becomes a way of living. It’s a masterclass in mindfulness.

You don’t waste what you had to catch yourself. If water is endless or centralized, it’s far away and you tend not to care about it.

This is figured for Canada, but you can imagine that the US figures mirror the Canadian figures. Agribusiness extracts every last penny they can from the farmer, and leaves them with less and less as we move forward.

Trump is not the most pro-farmer president of our lifetime. Currently he's gunning for Jimmy Carter's spot as the WORST president for farmers in my lifetime. Tarriffs=Embargoes, you f***ing dumbasses.

Tariffs, duopolies and surplus grain world-grain.com/articles/222… Based off of Basse's analysis, I think US grain producers had better be prepared to work more on becoming low cost operators, and focus less on high yields. To our crop input suppliers I would say "caveat venditor".

My irrigated wheat averaged around 108 bu/ac on 40# of applied nitrogen. My calculations indicated that I needed 50# of N, but the pump under-applied the fertilizer. Split shots of 20# put on at F6.5 & F8. 4 inches of water were used on this crop.
